A BRADFORD man appeared in court after entering a city shopping centre when he was prohibited from doing so.

Jack Scott, 43, of Upper Piccadilly, appeared in court on four charges.

In the first count, breach of a criminal behaviour order, he entered The Broadway shopping centre, which he is prohibited from doing. This occurred on May 19, 2021. 

Scott was given a community order, including a curfew for six weeks with electronic monitoring.

A further three offences were covered by the community order handed to Scott.

He faced a further charge of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress. This took place on Wilton Street, Bradford, on August 29, 2021.

Scott was ordered to pay a £114 victim surcharge and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service for this offence.

He was convicted of begging in a public place; Wilton Street, Bradford, on August 29, 2021.

Scott was convicted for possession of a controlled drug of class A – cannabis/cannabis resin, at Trafalgar House Police Station. This offence also took place on August 29, 2021. The cannabis will be destroyed.

Scott pleaded guilty to all four charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 16, 2022.
