A MAN was taken to hospital following a collision on a busy road in Bradford this evening.

There was heavy traffic following the incident, which happened at the junction of Barkerend Road and Shipley Airedale Road. 

The collision involved a car and a motorcyle.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Barkerend Road, Bradford just before 5pm to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a car.

"The male rider suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital for treatment and recovery was arranged for the motorbike."

The scene of the accident has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
