EMERGENCY services were scrambled to an incident close to a historic hall after someone fell from a tree.
It happened on Friday afternoon near Oakwell Hall, the Grade I-listed Elizabethan manor house in Birstall.
Yesterday @HVMRT were called to assist @YorksAmbulance with a casualty that had fallen from a tree near Oakwell Hall down a banking by the stream. The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team, a voluntary search and rescue organisation, was called to assist paramedics.
A spokesperson said a casualty had fallen from a tree near Oakwell Hall and down some banking by the stream.
They added: "Just as the team were about to deploy the casualty improved and was able to walk to the ambulance.
"We wish them a speedy recovery."
