A BRADFORD man has taken on an epic challenge to raise money for Marie Curie, where both his parents spent their last days.

Mark Cunningham, from Eccleshill, has today set off on his challenge to cycle 350 miles in three days and his journey will take him from Bradford to Blackpool, to Filey and then a round trip back to Bradford.

His current bike ride has raised over £4,000, but Mark hoped to hit a target of £6,500, which it costs to run the Bradford Marie Curie centre for one day.

Mark said: “Both my parents spent their last days of life in the hospice, and I got to see the wonderful staff and volunteers at work.”

Over several cycling events, Mark has raised over £20,000 for Marie Curie with the help of his friends and family.
