A HAWORTH man has been crowned the national Rising Star in an awards scheme which recognises the UK’s best heating apprentices.

Josh Bentley beat off competition from heating apprentices from all over the country to take home the prize.

The Heating Installer Awards, now in its seventh year, recognises the outstanding achievements of plumbers and heating installers from across the country who deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis.

The Rising Star category is for budding apprentices, to recognise those who are still in training but are already working hard to achieve high standards.

The judges were particularly impressed with his commitment to learning and his positive approach, particularly as he switched to a plumbing career a little later in life. Josh has worked closely with his employer to harness his skills and develop his technical knowledge.

Speaking of his achievement, Josh said: “I am absolutely honoured to have won the Rising Star award. I was up against some tough competition, but I have been working incredibly hard to become the best I can be and it is great to have been rewarded for my hard work.”
