BRADFORD is set for a hot end to this week as temperatures rise in the district over the next few days.

According to the Met Office, the warm weather will peak this Thursday as the mercury rises to 26C, during a day of unbroken sunshine.

Throughout this week, temperatures will increase. Today’s peak temperature of 23C will be the beginning of a heatwave this week. Tomorrow will be cloudy until the sun breaks through from 4pm, with a high of 17C.

Tomorrow will see temperatures rise steadily for a maximum of 24C, with sunny spells apart from a cloudy period between noon and 3pm.

Thursday will be the hottest day of the week, with a further increase in temperatures with a high expected of 26C in a dry and sunny day. The night-time temperature will not differ much from the daytime as the mercury will only fall to 20C at 10pm.

Friday will produce a mostly dry and sunny day but a slightly cooler one, with a break from the sunshine at 7pm with a brief spell of showers, but temperatures hold up for a high of 22C.

This weekend will see the mercury fall to a high of 19C and 18C on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
