A BRADFORD man has been fined for dodging rail fares by travelling on a child’s ticket between Bradford Interchange and Manchester Victoria.
Musa Ali Khan, 20, of Trenton Drive, Manningham, Bradford travelled to Manchester Victoria on December 13, 2021, and produced a Child’s Advance ticket when asked to show his ticket.
His details were obtained, and he was advised the facts would be reported.
Following the incident, a letter was sent to the defendant requesting an explanation. As there was no response, a Fixed Penalty Notice was then sent. However, this remains unpaid.
Khan has been ordered to pay £28.20 for the fare he avoided and £150 towards prosecution costs.
In total he was fined £178.20 for travelling with a child’s ticket.
