THE bodyguard for a drugs operation will be deported back to his native Hungary when he has served his jail sentence, a judge at Bradford Crown Court said today.
Palfi Csaba, who has convictions for assault in his homeland, was protecting a cannabis farm while his co-accused Kamila Markova was bagging up the drug.
Csaba, 35, of Queens Road, King Cross, Halifax, and Markova, 32, of Boston Street, Hali-fax, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply it on June 21 last year.
The police found 380 cannabis plants when they searched a house in Queens Road. Both defendants were arrested at an address in Boston Street.
When the police raided that address they found numerous small bags of cannabis and CCTV monitoring the front entrance.
Csaba was jailed for 12 months but he would soon be deported because the time he had spent in custody meant he had served his sentence.
Markova was jailed for ten months, suspended for 18 months, with 150 hours of unpaid work.
