A MAN was surrounded by four males in balaclavas and face masks and then had his scooter robbed.

West Yorkshire Police has launched an appeal after the robbery in the car park of Sainsbury's, in Upperhead Row, Huddersfield.

It happened just after 2.45pm on Tuesday.

The male victim was approached by four other men who all had their faces covered with various items.

They surrounded him and took his scooter keys before stealing the vehicle.

Two of the suspects were spotted running off, while the two others were seen riding the stolen scooter along Upperhead Road and onto the pedestrian area to the front of Huddersfield Bus Station.

The scooter was later recovered from the Newsome area of Huddersfield.
