Bradford will mark Armed Forces Day with a service and family event in the city centre.
On Monday the Lord Mayor of Bradford will mark the start of Armed Forces Week with a short flag-raising ceremony in Centenary Square at 11am. Flags from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Armed Forces flag will be flown in Centenary Square for the week.
On Armed Forces Day, Saturday June 25, there will be a Drumhead Service and Armed Forces village event.
The Drumhead Service will start at 11am and will be led by the Revd Canon Paul Maybury, Acting Dean from Bradford Cathedral.
The Last Post will be played by a member of the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Band followed by a two minutes’ silence.

Following the Service, family activities will also be held in Norfolk Gardens, between City Hall and Hall Ings. There will be exhibitors from across Bradford to provide information on the heritage of the district and showcase the organisations that work to preserve the memory of those who have served in our armed forces.
There will be a brass band, face painters and a climbing wall for all the family to enjoy.
