A BANNED driver appeared in court after he was caught riding a quad bike with no insurance.
Aadal Razzaq, 22, of Norwood Avenue, Shipley, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court last month.
He was charged with driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third-party insurance.
According to court documents, Razzaq drove the Polaris Scrambler Quad on Ash Grove in Bingley while he was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence and without third-party insurance.
It happened on March 31 this year. Razzaq pleaded guilty to both offences.
He was fined £180, ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, plus a victim surcharge of £34.
He was also banned from driving for six months.
A collection order was made, and the court was to apply for benefit deductions to recover the balance of £299.
