On Monday, roads were closed off and there were a number of production trucks in the area as crews set up spotlights and a set for what the T&A understands is a new Netflix production.

People in the area reported the building used for filming is on Cater Street. A sign on the building advertised it as available to let as a historic period building.

Filming also reportedly took place Westgate area of Shipley, although it is not clear if this is for the same production.

Locations in the Bradford district this year have been popular for film crews this year.

David Wilson, Director of Bradford City of Film said: "The Bradford Film Office is experiencing a high volume of requests for filming across the district and this is a trend across other areas of the UK.

"Discretion is very much a part of the service and many storylines are very well protected for obvious reasons.

"The projects we are facilitating at the moment and in the coming months bring a range of benefits to the district.

"They provide income for local businesses, property owners who allow their premises to be used as locations, local hotels and other such services.

"They also provide employment for local crew and trainees.

"In addition to this, when we are able to talk about the film or the TV series on release, often they provide screen tourism opportunities.

"Research suggests that many people are more inclined to visit a place when they have seen it appear in films or on TV.

"As Bradford continues to build plans as UK City of Culture 2025 Screen Tourism will play an important role in telling the world about the diverse and wonderful landscape and architecture which make up the Bradford district and that is what attracts film directors here in the first place."

Little Germany has been used as a backdrop for many high-profile productions over the years including Downton Abbey, The Crown, Gentleman Jack, Peaky Blinders and All Creatures Great and Small.
