FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to assist police following reports of a man in the River Worth at Keighley.
Fire service crews from Keighley, Bingley, Shipley and Leeds – including specialist water rescue teams – attended.
The call was received at 11pm and the firefighters searched a stretch of the river – in the South Street area – for about an-hour-and-a-half, but no one was found.
A police helicopter was also involved in the search.
