A PUBLIC consultation on plans to introduce traffic calming measures on a Heaton road has begun.
Bradford Council is proposing to install a number of speed bumps on Leylands Lane, between Heaton Park Road and Toller Lane in a bid to cut down on dangerous driving in the residential area.
Proposals will see a “blacktop plateau” added to the road between Leylands Medical Centre and Toller Lane, and eight smaller blacktop cushions between the centre and Heaton Park Road.
Heaton housing plan that will require removal of protected tree is approved
The Council’s Highways Department says the work “will slow speeding vehicles and improve safety to all road users in this residential area.”
A consultation on the proposals began last week and runs until July 1.
