A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital after falling from a cliff edge in Bradford this afternoon.

The 15-year-old male injured his spine in the incident which occurred in Judy Woods.

He was rescued by the fire service at the bottom of steep banking before being transported by stretcher to an ambulance and then taken to hospital.

It is reported that he fell from 50 to 60 feet at around 2pm on Wednesday.

The fire service received a call at 2.12pm and sent crews from Bradford, Odsal, Cleckheaton and Halifax stations.

A spokesperson said: "Cliff Rescue - Judy Woods, Station Road, Norwood Green.

"There were reports of a person fallen 50 to 60 feet down the cliff edge.

"On arrival, a 15-year-old male was located down a steep banking with injuries to his spine, he was rescued by the fire service, transported on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance and then taken to hospital.

"A Technical Rescue Unit was used."
