A YOUNG man has been fined after he was caught with cocaine.
Mason Evans, 20, of Pickles Lane, Horton Bank Top, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced.
He was charged with the possession of a class A drug, namely cocaine.
According to court documents, the offence happened in October 2020, when he was caught in Halifax with a “number of grip seal bags of cocaine, a controlled drug of class A”.
His case was heard on May 30. Evans was fined £106; ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service as well as a victim surcharge of £34.
A collection order was made and the balance will be paid at a rate of £50 per week. The court also ordered the grip seal bags of cocaine be forfeited and destroyed.
