A JOBSFAIR is being held in Bradford city centre later this month as local Jobcentres recruit for key industries.

A successful recruitment drive was held in Keighley last month, resulting in 20 job offers on the day.

The next jobsfair is being held at the Aldermanbury Jobcentre in the centre of Bradford, on June 29, with more than 20 employers already signed up.

Angela McVay, senior employer and partnership leader for Bradford District, said: “With summer fast approaching and a record level of vacancies, employers are turning to their local jobcentre for expert help matching jobseekers with their seasonal and permanent vacancies.

“Right now, it’s our top priority to work with employers and jobseeker to match the right job with the right person.”

She said that the jobsfairs give businesses the opportunity to see people face to face enabling them to recruit quickly.

Employers can book a free stand or interview space at any of the local Jobcentres via Eventbrite and people looking for work can to talk to their work coach about attending.

Work trials are also available for short periods giving both employers and jobseekers the opportunity to see if it is a good fit for both sides.
