A MAN has been fined after being caught with a knife on a Bradford street.
Benjamin Makama, 32, of Acre Avenue, Eccleshill, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced for the offence.
He was charged with the possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
According to court documents, the offence happened on June 26 last year when Makama was caught with a lock knife on Listerhills Road.
He denied the offence at a hearing in December last year but was found guilty by the court on May 20.
Makama was fined £120, ordered to pay costs of £100 and a surcharge of £34.
The court was to apply for benefit deductions to recover the £254.
The knife will be forfeited and destroyed.
