A BRADFORD district business has been voted one of the top independent garden centres in West Yorkshire, according to a study.
Tong Garden Centre was ranked as the joint number one top rated garden centre in West Yorkshire in the study by David Wilson Homes.
Tong received a 4.4-star rating in the study, based on 6,400 reviews.
One review said about Tong: "What a fantastic garden centre. It's full of fun things to look at with great quality items. There's a casual cafe and a more sit-down meal restaurant upstairs. The cakes are enormous and very well priced. The staff are very friendly, and it's a great place to take kids".
Lumby Garden Centre, based in Leys House, Leeds, shared the accolade with Tong as it too received a score of 4.4 stars, but from 666 reviews.
Whiteleys Garden Centre & Café, based in Far Common Road, Mirfield, was the three best ranked independent site. It scored 4.1` stars from 1,300 reviews.
Tong Garden Centre is opening up a site in Tingley later this year. The company has also submitted plans for a third site at the Thorp Arch Estate, Wetherby.
