A BRADFORD tailoring firm has suited and booted two soap stars for a prestigious awards ceremony shown live on TV.

IK Collections kitted out Charlie de Melo, who played lawyer Imran Habeeb in Coronation Street and Owen Warner, who is Romeo in Hollyoaks, for the British Soap Awards, shown on ITV last Saturday night.

Mr de Melo’s character was killed off in a car smash last month after he appeared in the show since 2017.

He posted pictures of himself in his grey IK Collections suite on the Soap Awards’ red carpet alongside co-stars Georgie Taylor, who plays Toyah.

Owen also posted pictures of himself wearing his grey and black jacket from the Bradford company at the ceremony.

Both actors paid separate visits to the firm’s Westgate shop to be measured for their suits.

Imran Khan, owner of IK Collections, said: “Charlie came to the shop before the first lockdown and said he would wear the suit we made for him at a special occasion when he left the soap.
