POLICE are appealing for the public’s help in reporting any sightings of a man who is wanted in connection with a serious assault in Leeds yesterday afternoon.

Officers want to speak to James Fillary, 37, after an incident in Grosmont Terrace, Leeds, in which another man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after reportedly being attacked with a machete.

There are concerns that Mr Fillary may himself be injured and officers need to locate him to also confirm that he is safe and well.

He is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall of large build.

Anyone who has seen him or with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the police as a matter of urgency, quoting log 1719 of 1006.
