TWO teenagers were arrested over robberies as police continue to tackle anti-social behaviour involving youths.

Ongoing efforts to identify and deal with those involved in crime by officers in the Leeds West area - which includes Bramley, Calverley, Thornbury, Tyersal, Farsley and Pudsey - have resulted in recent arrests and charges.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with robbery.

A 15-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft and robbery and remains under investigation at this time.

Inspector Phil Gill, who heads the Leeds West NPT, said: “We are continuing to target those involved in youth-related crime and anti-social behaviour in the Bramley area following a number of recent incidents, and these latest outcomes show that work is having positive results.

“We are fully committed to working alongside our partner agencies and making full use of all available legislation to tackle any further issues.”
