A BRADFORD man has appeared in court for a spate of charges including assaulting an emergency worker.
Michael Tearne, 63, of Truncliffe House, was handed a community order for a number of offences.
In the first, common assault, he assaulted a man at Truncliffe House, Bradford, on February 24, 2022. He was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs for this offence.
He was convicted of assault by beating of an emergency worker. Tearne assaulted an emergency worker, namely a police constable, acting in the exercise of his functions in Bradford on December 28, 2021.
Tearne was ordered to pay £100 compensation for this charge.
Under the terms of his community order, Tearne was given an Alcohol Treatment Requirement for six months. Tearne was also given a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.
He was also re-sentenced for a further offence under the same community order.
These included a charge of assault, which occurred on February 24, 2022.
A collection order and deductions from benefits were made by the court. Tearne was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 19, 2022.
