A MAN has been given a football banning order following an assault at Bradford City’s stadium.
Sam Stallard, 29, of Browness Close, Hartlepool, appeared in court for one charge of assaulting a man by beating him at Valley Parade on October 19, 2021. This was the day Bradford City hosted Hartlepool United in League 2.
Stallard was fined £120, ordered to pay £300 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
He was also given a football banning order for three years.
Some of the terms of the banning order included on the day that Hartlepool United play a match at their Victoria Park home ground, he will not during the period of four hours before the kick-off time and six hours after the match enter, or remain in any area, inside the boundary of a number of streets near the stadium.
This restriction also applies to Hartlepool United away matches. There is also a restriction Stallard must adhere to for England games within the United Kingdom, where he should not attend the relevant town or city four hours before and six hours after kick-off time. Stallard pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on May 26, 2022.
