POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Leeds yesterday.
Officers were called to Dewsbury Road by the ambulance service at 12.19am on Friday, after two vehicles had been in collision.
A white Golf and a yellow Citroen were involved, police said.
The occupants of the white Golf suffered minor injuries, while the occupants of the yellow Citroen left the scene before officers arrived.
Two women who are believed to have been in the Citroen were later found in hospital with injuries to their backs.
A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody at this time.
