THOUSANDS of Bradford schoolchildren sang to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at the city’s Park Avenue Cricket Ground on October 28, 1954.

An orchestra played on a specially assembled platform and around 30,000 schoolchildren sang the National Anthem and other songs they had spent several weeks rehearsing.
