FOUR diesel-powered engines are set to visit the Bradford district’s heritage railway as special guests for a two-day event.

The Keighley and Worth Valley’s railway is hosting the ‘Festival of Diesel Locomotives’ where their stable of vintage locomotives will be joined by a quartet of modernised models.

Noel Hartley, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s Operations and Business Manager, said: “The Festival of Diesel Locomotives is without a doubt the best opportunity to see these magnificent machines powering up the hills of the Worth Valley.

“This is an event for anyone interested in machinery as these diesels are amazing feats of technology and horsepower.

"Whether you're a parent with a train-mad child or a fully-grown enthusiast, this event can offer you a great day out and we'd love to see you enjoy what we have to offer.”
