THE latest plans for a derelict Bradford pub will see the building converted into a restaurant.

The former Royal Oak on Sticker Lane has been vacant for over a decade.

In recent years there have been plans to convert the building to uses as varied as a car showroom to offices.

Despite this the building, next to Dunelm, remains vacant with a bricked up front door.

Now a new application submitted to Bradford Council by Jinnah Catering has revealed plans to convert the boarded-up building into a restaurant with a food collection point to the side.

Work on multi-million pound employment site to begin with new Greggs car park

The application says: “The site previously operated as a public house however has been vacant for several years now and is in dire need of restoration.

“The current owners own the complete property they are willing to invest in the property, with a view to maximizing its use, and to introduce regeneration benefits to this area.

“With this being a new business venture, the new owners see good potential in the site and are looking to open up new vacancies and look to employing seven permanent staff.”

A car park area next to the pub, currently used for car sales, will have space for up to 30 cars.

A decision on the application is expected next month.
