There have been a few local reports around Skipton of a an earthquake being felt in the early hours of this morning, June 1.
The British Geological Survey has reported that there was actually a seismic event at Laneshawbridge this morning, June 1, at 1.51am measuring 2.8 magnitude and at 13 kilometres deep. No other events have been logged and it may have been this which people experienced.
