A MUSICIAN-turned-USA daytime TV show host has backed Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 bid, saying it’s our time to shine.

Bradford-born David Nowakowski, co-host of daytime TV show Loving Living Local, on the FOX21 channel in Colorado, has stayed true to his city roots.

He has backed Bradford’s bid to be named City of Culture as it finds out during Tuesday night’s edition of the BBC’s The One Show.

Mr Nowakowski, nicknamed ‘Nova’, said: “Bradford is home, and always will be. For the chance to be chosen as City of Culture will be the right time.

“Bradford has its amazing people, characteristics as a city with its combined arts and media connections.

“Not to forget its amazing food and drink options in and around the city.

“We are a world in a city with our amazing cultural diversities.

“It’s our time to shine and be recognised, not only in the UK but around the world.”

Mr Nowakowski lives in Denver, Colorado, and says he is enjoying his new career as a TV host, which he says is a US version of ITV’s This Morning.

He even had the chance to interview movie star Billy Bob Thornton during a recent edition.
