BRADFORD Local Studies Library Lunchtime Lectures are taking place in celebration of 150 years of Bradford Libraries.

The first in the series of interesting talks, on Monday June 13, is about Geoffrey Wright - a life in early 19th century maps. It will be given by local historian and map expert Derek Barker.

On Tuesday June 14 Bradford archivist Fiona Marshall will give a talk 'There and Back Again' about Bradford Archive and Libraries.

The Real Repair Shop looks at the work of an archive conservationist, with Shirley Jones, head of conservation at West Yorkshire Archives, on Wednesday June 15.

Local historian and author Dr Simon Ross Valentine will talk about the fascinating Federer Collection of Yorkshire pamphlets on Thursday June 16.

The lectures are all free to attend and are being held from 12noon to 1pm.
