A WOMAN has appeared in court on dangerous dog charges after her German Shepherd injured two people.

Harriet Woodhead, 25, of Dale Road, Drighlington, pleaded guilty to two charges of being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control and causing injury – a German Shepherd called Mia.

She appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on May 26, and must now pay almost £1,000 to the courts.

This includes compensation of £550, a fine of £280, court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.

The incident that led to the charges took place on February 23, in a field near Dale Road in Drighlington.

There was no detail on the court documents as to the level of injury of the two victims.
