A MAN has been banned from driving for speeding on the Bingley Bypass.
Saif Jawed, 20, of Barkston Drive, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, faced one charge of exceeding the 50mph speed limit.
He was clocked travelling at 71mph in a 50mph section of Sir Fred Hoyle Way, namely the A650 trunk road (Bingley Relief Road) on September 15, 2021.
Jawed was disqualified for holding, or obtaining a driving licence for six months. The disqualification was deemed to be obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also fined £440, ordered to pay £90 costs, plus a £44 victim surcharge for the offence.
Jawed was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 13.
