ONE of the country’s top comedians stopped by at a Bradford bar before taking to the stage in the city.

Ed Byrne, who is a regular on BBC Two’s Mock The Week, performed at St George’s Hall last night as part of his, ‘If I’m Honest’ national tour.

Before hitting the stage, he went for some liquid refreshment at The Craft Beer House at the Wool Exchange in the city centre.

Byrne tweeted: “Tonight’s #preshowpint is a pint of “good vibes only” by Night Jar Brew Co in the Exchange, Bradford. As I type this, they’re playing “Jokerman” by Bob Dylan which seems appropriate.”

This post on social media was part of a series of tweets where the comedian posts a picture of him enjoying a pint in a place where he is due on stage that night.

One fan who attended Ed’s show at St George’s Hall last night gave the Telegraph & Argus this mini-review.

He said: “He was very funny with lots of relatable stories about family life, lockdown, and the absurdities of human interaction we missed during the pandemic.

“He also put in plenty of digs at Huddersfield and regarding partygate which made for an enjoyable night.”
