Horton Grange Primary school, part of Exceed Academies Trust, celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee today with a whole school Royal picnic.

Children dressed in red, white and blue and enjoyed a picnic lunch in the sunshine on the school field.

Headteacher, Miss Marshall, said, “The Platinum Jubilee has provided a lovely opportunity for the whole school to come together to play, laugh, and be happy whilst celebrating this unique event.

"We have over 730 children aged between 2-11 and today is the first time we have been able to gather as a whole school since the pandemic began.

"It has felt very poignant, been a joyous occasion, and will be something the children, staff, and their families remember for a long time to come.”

Duncan Jacques, CEO of Exceed Academies Trust, added “Our Trust is proud to have Horton Grange Primary within its family of schools and is delighted to see wonderful community events now taking place again.

"We are privileged to be in a position to support the school to develop its own identity and individuality to meet the needs of the community."
