POLICE are investigating after a teenage girl was threatened in West Yorkshire earlier this week.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, 24 May at the bus stop opposite the B&M on Wharf Street, Sowerby Bridge.

The victim was waiting for a bus when two men approached her, threatened her with a bladed weapon and took her phone. 

The victim managed to retrieve her phone but is understandably shaken by the incident. 

The suspects then crossed the road to B&M and walked up the main street with a number of other youths. 

The suspects are described as white and in their early teens.

One is said to have short brown hair and the other is said to have short blonde hair. 

Both suspects were believed to be wearing dark-coloured tracksuits. 

Police say there may have been people at the bus stop at the time of the incident who may have information which could assist.
