ARMED POLICE were in attendance after a vehicle was in collision with a child in Leeds yesterday.
Officers descended on Harehills Lane in Harehills following the incident, which happened near the road’s junction with Nowell Grove.
A police cordon was also put in place at the scene as armed officers arrived to help with "medical care", police claimed.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 8.12pm on 26 May to reports of a vehicle in collision with a child.
"Emergency services attended, including armed officers who attended to assist with medical care.
"Pedestrian child [is] believed to have minor injuries but [was] taken to hospital as a precautionary measure."
