BRADFORD Hospitals’ Charity is calling on NHS staff and supporters to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks this year.

Last year, around 40 staff, their families, and patients from across Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust raised £15,000 for NHS charity funds when they took on the challenge.

This year’s event, which will include hiking 24 miles up Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, will take place on September 10.

Walkers aim to complete the challenge in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales in under 12 hours.

Hayley Collis, head of fundraising for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity, said: “Last year’s event was a truly extraordinary day.

“Many of our walkers took part for very personal reasons, some because it was on their bucket list, and many because they felt it was important to be part of a team and they wanted to support their work family by giving back to our hospital charity, which has supported them so much during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Anyone interested can sign up as an individual or a team. For an informal chat, ring the charity team on 01274 274809 or email charity@bthft.nhs.uk
