CITY have agreed a new and improved deal with Human Relief Foundation to remain as the club’s official charity partner for next season.

The international humanitarian relief and emergency aid charity, established in 1991 and working in Bradford for over three decades, will also continue as the official website sponsor.

HRF will provide players, staff and supporters with the opportunity to be involved in various humanitarian activities locally and internationally, while continuing to be recognised around Valley Parade and on the sleeves of City’s Papa John’s Trophy group stage shirts next season.

The charity works across the globe providing emergency aid and humanitarian support to people suffering through conflict, social upheaval, poverty, and environmental disaster, with its projects working to support millions of people across Africa and Asia since launching.

This extension follows the joint work done earlier this year in partnership with the Bradford City Community Foundation, in launching an emergency appeal aimed at aiding those affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Oliver Denton, marketing and communications manager at HRF, said: “We are extremely happy to continue our partnership with Bradford City AFC in being the club’s official charity partner.

“Both parties have a great passion for Bradford and are keen to see the city continue to be recognised for its many achievements - past, present and future.

“HRF strongly believe Bradford City has a great impact on the local community and, with this in mind, we hope to work on many projects and campaigns together, both locally and internationally.”

City chief commercial officer Davide Longo added: “The work they continue to do to this day, over 30 years since their inception, is nothing short of extraordinary, and we are proud to be further strengthening our ties with such a fantastic charity with great values.

“HRF showed great courage to lead an emergency appeal in aid of the victims of the Ukraine conflict earlier this year, which both ourselves and our Community Foundation played an important part in.

“Their reaction to the crisis was nothing short of commendable, and enabled us to collectively offer a helping hand to as many people as possible.

“We want to be able to continue this kind of work, while also opening doors for supporters, players and staff to be deployed in less economically-developed countries in order to help those less fortunate than ourselves.”
