A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The weapons were recovered as part of our work with the UK Border Agency who make referrals to us when they intercept parcels which contain prohibited weapons.
“A part of our proactive and preventative approach we attend the address where the parcel was intended and look at positive action through education rather than prosecution.
"As a result of this a number of weapons were surrendered to Op Jemlock Officers from an address in Bradford and Calderdale.
“This is part of Op Jemlock’s commitment to get these weapons off the streets of West Yorkshire, in the last year we have recovered 600 weapons."
