A WOMAN has received a suspended prison sentence after admitting common assault and carrying an offensive weapon.
Kay Williams, 36, was handed a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court.
If follows charges of common assault, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
The first two charges relate to an incident on March 30, at Bracken Edge, Bradford, where Williams assaulted a woman and was in possession of a bat.
The third charge relates to an incident at Bradford Royal Infirmary Accident and Emergency department on the same day.
Williams, of Allanbridge Close, Bradford, must also complete up to 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days within the 12 months.
