The Yorkshire Society and Keighley Town Council is preparing for a huge Yorkshire Day event this Summer.
As well as a number of activities and events around Keighley during the weekend before and Yorkshire day itself, August 1, the annual celebration will feature some of the area’s best attractions.
Guests can hop aboard a special chartered steam train from Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and enjoy a delicious breakfast. From Keighley Station, people will be met by a military band and cheerleaders before making a traditional civic procession through the streets of Keighley, past the crowds, to Keighley Shared Church.
At the church, a multi faith thanksgiving service will be held. Following the church service everyone will travel in vintage buses to Riddlesden Hall for the formal civic lunch, speeches and entertainment.
Only members of The Yorkshire Society are able to attend – tickets cost £55pp. To reserve a place, write to contact@theyorkshiresociety.org
