A WOMAN has appeared in court for stealing a purse and using the owner’s bank cards to withdraw £500 from their account.
Ashlea Ratcliffe, 26, of Howson Close, Guiseley, faced one charge of theft – other – including theft by finding.
She stole a purse containing £50 in cash and subsequently used bank cards which were in the purse and withdrawing money to the value of £500 belonging to a woman.
This took place in Bradford on October 9, 2021.
Ratcliffe was given a community order including required to carry out 80 hours unpaid work in the community within the next 12 months.
She was also ordered to pay £550 compensation.
Ratcliffe pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 11, 2022.
