PART of the M62 has reopened after it was closed in both directions due to a concern for safety.
Between junction 31 (Pontefract) and junction 32 (Normanton) were closed in both directions due to a police-led incident, Highways England – Yorkshire confirmed.
There were reportedly delays of 60 minutes and five miles worth of congestion in both directions on approach of the incident.
But West Yorkshire Police has since tweeted that the incident: This concern for safety incident has now been resolved and the #M62 is expected to fully reopen shortly.
“Motorists are thanked for their patience.”
