A MAN had to be rescued from a flat fire at a high-rise building in Bradford city centre this afternoon.
Three engines from Fairweather Green, Shipley and Odsal fire stations were called at 3.15pm today to reports of a flat fire at Campbell House on Sunbridge Road, Bradford.
A spokesperson from Fairweather Green Fire Station: “We had to rescue someone from the lower ground floor of the building.
“The man had to be taken to hospital by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.”
“The fire was confined to one room and it took us about five minutes to put it out.
“We used a hose reel and a positive pressure fan to clear the smoke.
“An investigation into the cause of the fire is now being carried out.”
