Update: Road re-opens after serious crash on Broadway in Horsforth
A SERIOUS crash is causing major delays this afternoon.
Police are in attendance at the scene on Broadway in Horsforth and the air ambulance has landed nearby.
Large police cordons are in place and the road is expected to remain closed for some time.

A6120 Broadway - Due to a Police Incident on the eastbound carriageway near to the A65 roundabout our 9 service is currently terminating and commencing from Rodley Lane until further notice.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
A spokesperson said: "Police are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision in Broadway, Horsforth.
"Road closures are in place in both directions and people are advised to avoid the area at this time."
Traffic alerts are reporting congestion on all approaches to the Horsforth roundabout and Dawson's Corner.
A traffic alert says: "A separate earlier accident on the A65 is also causing further delays.

"Traffic is still able to use the Horsforth roundabout. Affecting traffic between Rodley and Horsforth."
One motorist told the Telegraph & Argus they had seen police walking on the streets behind the road.
An RTA at horsforth Roundabout is causing long delays in the area. This will cause delays to services @BentonParkSch and @StMarysMenston and also some @abgacademy services this afternoon.

They added:"There's a forensic collision investigator, three ambulances and two of the little ones."
Another person advised on Twitter: "Avoid Leeds Ring Road. Incident between Horsforth and Rodley. That section shut (school bus diverted). Traffic horrendous on alternative routes as a result."
There are reports that traffic in surrounding areas like Kirkstall, Farsley, Rodley and Lawnswood is "barely moving".
