A RESIDENTIAL care home in Bradford is holding an open day in order to recruit health workers to work with people with learning difficulties.

Staff from Beacon House residential service will talk about how you can make a positive difference to the lives of people with learning difficulties.

The residential care home in Wibsey, provides specialist services for adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs and is recruiting support workers to join their team.

Rowan Marriott, head of resourcing at Cygnet Health Care said: “The recruitment challenge facing the health care sector has been well documented recently. Increased demand for specialist services like ours means it is crucial to recruit talented and compassionate individuals to help reduce the current pressure on the sector.”

Incentives for new staff include discounts from big brands and Cygnet also offers discounted gym membership, free meals onsite, a group pension scheme and a health cash plan to help with costs.

At Beacon House, they aim to find out each individual’s strengths, abilities and preferences so that the care provided can be as person-centred as possible.

The open day will take place at Beacon House, 281 Beacon Road, Wibsey, on Friday, May 13, from 10am to 4pm.
