A MAN has been disqualified for a year after driving over the drug limit.
Kieran Metcalfe, 28, of Low Hall Gate in the Horsforth area, was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates' Court last Wednesday (May 4).
He pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a controlled drug above the specified limit on July 27 last year at the same court.
The offence relates to May 25 in 2021 when Metcalfe was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan on his street.
He had five microgrammes of THC in his system (the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis), which is more than double the specified limit.
Metcalfe was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £365 by the court.
