PEOPLE will be able to learn more about the plans for Brighouse’s future at a Deal Open Day being held later this month.

The Brighouse Deal, the £19 million plan to improve the town for the future, will be showcased in a special open day on Saturday, May 21, and people are being encouraged to get involved.

Taking place between 10am and 3pm at Brighouse Open Market on Ship Street, the open day will show the latest plans with residents, business owners and organisations invited to hear about the changes being proposed, talk to those designing the projects and share their views on what happens next.

There will be a range of interactive activities, including the opportunity to add a personal touch to a large-scale piece of artwork and help write the next chapter in the story of Brighouse with building a montage of words to describe the town.

Councillor Sophie Whittaker, co-chair of The Brighouse Town Deal Board, said: “The Brighouse Deal is your deal – so I hope as many people as possible will join us to discover what it means for you and help us to write the next chapter in the story of our town.”
