A CROWN court date has been set for a man charged with attempted murder following a stabbing at a Bradford mosque during Eid prayers.
An investigation was launched after Mohammed Khan, a man his 20s, was assaulted inside the Madni Masjid Islamic Centre on Newton Street, West Bowling, on Monday (May 2).
He was rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary in a critical condition.
West Yorkshire Police said it had been a “distressing incident” for the victim’s family and the wider community.
Fezan Hussain, 26, of Radfield Road, off Rooley Avenue, was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
Hussain will appear before Bradford Crown Court on June 1.
